FARGO (trfnews.i234.me) — The Fargo Police Department has released details regarding a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred on Wednesday, November 13, in south Fargo.
The individual who died was identified as 65-year-old Peter Greco of Fargo. According to police reports, officers responded to a call at approximately 10:50 a.m. regarding a man in distress. Upon arrival, officers determined Greco was inside his home and armed.
After communication efforts, Greco exited the house holding a handgun. Two officers, Sergeant Lucas Mock and Officer Princeten Harris, discharged their firearms, resulting in Greco’s death at the scene.
Sergeant Mock, an 18-year veteran and day shift supervisor, also serves as the commander of the Crowd Management Team. Officer Harris, with 10 months on the force, is a recent graduate of the Fargo Police Academy and currently undergoing field training.
Both officers have been placed on paid administrative leave while the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation conducts an inquiry into the incident.
