FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Kadar Pearson, a Fargo resident, recently faced an important legal shift. State charges against him for unlawful possession of a firearm, escape, and refusal to halt have been dropped following his federal indictment. Pearson was arraigned after a grand jury unsealed the indictment, which charges him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Pearson was initially arrested in June near the Arbors apartment complex while in possession of a loaded pistol. At the time, he was on escape status with the North Dakota Department of Corrections, serving a sentence for fentanyl possession with intent to deliver and theft of a firearm. His case has now moved to federal court, where he will address the new charges.
