Fargo (trfnews.i234.me)—A routine evening at Casey’s General Store on 13th Avenue South took a terrifying turn on March 29th when a man, later identified as 35-year-old John L. Bussert of Fargo, entered the store with visible bloodstains on his shirt and arm, talking to himself. The store employee, assisting customers at the checkout line, reported that Bussert became increasingly agitated by the long queue. The situation escalated when he brandished a knife, declaring, “I need some effing help.” Fearing for her life and the safety of others, the employee completed Bussert’s transaction to prevent further provocation before contacting 911.

Authorities swiftly located Bussert at his residence, where they confiscated the knife and took him into custody. He has since been charged with felony terrorizing. Bussert admitted to the police that wielding the knife was a mistake.

Did you know? Felony terrorizing charges in North Dakota can result in significant legal consequences, including substantial fines and imprisonment, especially when a deadly weapon is involved.
