Police say Braun made repeated comments about wanting to go to jail.
He allegedly told officers, “Take me to jail.”
Officers said he also suggested he would not leave on his own.

Spitting incident described
Police say Braun stood up from a wheelchair during the encounter.
The report says he reached toward an officer’s face.
Officers say they grabbed his arms to control the movement.
Police say Braun asked if that action was assault.
When told it was not, police say he spat in an officer’s face.
Officers wrote that he did it to get arrested.
Felony charge filed
Braun was arrested and taken to jail, police say.
He is now charged with felony contact by bodily fluids.
North Dakota law covers “contact by bodily fluids or excrement.”
The law states the offense is a class C felony if the contact is done knowingly.
