Fargo, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me)Larry J. Desjarlais of Fargo is now facing a felony charge of endangering by fire or explosion after allegedly starting a fire at an apartment building early Monday morning.

The incident occurred at 1202 1st Avenue South, prompting the evacuation of residents from the complex. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

According to court documents, Desjarlais admitted to starting the fire using a torch he utilizes to smoke methamphetamine. He also told investigators he had used meth the night before. In a shocking twist, he further confessed to previously setting fire to his own house in Mandan several years ago.

This latest blaze could have had far more devastating consequences if not for the swift evacuation.

Desjarlais now faces serious legal consequences, and the case remains under investigation.
