FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Joshua Brooks, a Fargo man involved in a fatal 2020 drive-by shooting, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. Brooks, who pleaded guilty to being an accomplice to murder, will be eligible for parole after serving 23 years and six months.
The incident occurred in August 2020, when Santino Marial was shot and killed while with two friends in a garage at a south Fargo apartment complex. The two friends escaped unharmed. Court documents reveal that Brooks organized the shooting and served as the driver during the crime. An aggravated assault charge against him was dropped as part of a plea deal.
Multiple bullets were recovered from the scene, linking Brooks to the fatal event.
