FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fargo man has pleaded guilty to charges connected to the sexual abuse of a minor.
26-year-old Aaron Cofell pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition and endangerment of a child or vulnerable adult at a change-of-plea hearing on Monday in Cass County District Court.
Prosecutors said the other three charges — simple assault and two drug-related counts — were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. Cofell was initially arrested in May during a traffic stop in West Fargo.
According to investigators, the victim is under the age of 15. Law enforcement agencies worked with the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center and Sanford Care Clinic to provide medical and support services to the victim.
Cofell’s sentencing is scheduled for January 5, 2026, at the Cass County Courthouse in Fargo.
