Grand Forks, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me)— A 22-year-old Fargo man is facing serious felony charges after allegedly breaking into a woman’s apartment in Grand Forks and assaulting her.
According to court documents, on January 30th, Josh Lee Lafountain unlawfully entered the woman’s apartment without permission while she was sitting on a couch. He then hit and slapped her before leaving the scene. A surveillance camera captured footage of Lafountain walking into the apartment.
By the time authorities arrived, Lafountain had already left. However, he was later located and arrested.
He is now facing felony charges of burglary and terrorizing, as well as a misdemeanor charge of simple assault.
Authorities have not yet released further details on whether there was any prior connection between the victim and Lafountain.
This case remains under investigation.
