Cass County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A Fargo man has been charged in connection with a December 2024 drug sting operation. Court documents show that Bernard Lewis is facing a felony drug trafficking charge after an undercover purchase arranged by the Cass County Drug Task Force.

On December 3, 2024, investigators used a confidential informant to make a controlled buy from Lewis at a Fargo motel. According to court filings, the informant purchased approximately one ounce of methamphetamine from Lewis in exchange for $400. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into meth trafficking in the Fargo area.

Following the controlled buy, authorities gathered enough evidence to charge Lewis with felony delivery of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine. Under North Dakota law, delivery of meth carries severe penalties, including possible prison time and fines. For more details on North Dakota drug laws, see the North Dakota Century Code.

Drug trafficking continues to be a concern in Cass County and across the Red River Valley. Local task forces have been conducting coordinated operations to reduce the availability of meth in the community. Similar operations in the past have resulted in multiple felony charges and lengthy prison sentences for offenders.

This case will now move forward in Cass County District Court. Bernard Lewis is expected to appear for an initial court hearing in the coming weeks. More information on potential sentencing will depend on the outcome of the proceedings.
