Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man is facing criminal charges after a reported domestic violence incident that ended with a woman found injured in the road.
Adrian Leiva, of Fargo, has been charged with felony felonious restraint and misdemeanor domestic violence, according to court documents.
The incident was reported late Thursday night, Dec. 19. Court records say officers were sent to the area of 45th Street and 32nd Avenue South just before 11:30 p.m. A woman was found lying on the roadway.
The woman told investigators that she and Leiva had been drinking earlier. She said she wanted him to stop the vehicle. She reported he did not stop. She also said he hit her multiple times while they were still in the vehicle.
According to the report, the woman said she jumped out of the moving vehicle. She suffered an injury to her arm. The report did not include the victim’s name.
Authorities documented the woman’s condition and gathered statements. The case was sent for charging review. Leiva now faces one felony count and one misdemeanor count tied to the reported incident.
