FARGO ( trfnews.i234.me ) — A Fargo man is facing multiple charges following a domestic dispute that started after the victim allegedly caught him in bed with another woman.
According to court documents, Vakaba William of Fargo is charged in connection with a domestic violence case that unfolded on October 24th. The female victim told police that the day before, William had punched her in the face, causing her right eye to swell shut.
The next morning, the woman came home from work and found William sleeping with another woman. A disturbance followed, and the victim called 911 for help. According to the report, William took her phone and hung up on her initial 911 call before leaving the scene.
Police later located and arrested William. He now faces a felony charge of interference with an emergency call and a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. William denied physically assaulting the victim during questioning.
Under North Dakota law, interfering with an emergency call is a felony offense, and domestic assault can carry serious penalties, including jail time and fines.
