Clay County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Edward Bankey Boe, 34, of Fargo, was arrested at the Clay County Courthouse in Moorhead after allegedly assaulting deputies during an attempted arrest. Boe had entered the courthouse to make a payment at the clerk’s office but had an outstanding warrant for missing a court appearance the previous week.
Deputies informed Boe that he needed to pay the full $1,000 fine or face arrest. Boe offered to pay $500 and, upon being told that was insufficient, began to struggle with deputies. During the altercation, one deputy suffered a broken ankle.
Boe was arrested and booked into the Clay County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including:
