FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – On December 30, 2024, Fargo police arrested 29-year-old Alexander Hoover in connection with vehicle theft and shoplifting incidents at the Scheels store on 45th Street South. The arrest followed the detection of a stolen vehicle from Moorhead, identified through the Fargo Police Department’s FLOCK license plate reading system.
Upon arrival, Scheels employees assisted law enforcement in identifying two individuals associated with the stolen vehicle. Both were detained as they exited the store. The passenger was released after denying knowledge of the vehicle’s stolen status and any involvement in shoplifting. Hoover, the driver, was found in possession of the vehicle’s keys and was captured on surveillance footage committing theft within the store.
Hoover was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Cass County Jail. He faces charges related to possession of a stolen vehicle and shoplifting. The stolen vehicle has since been returned to its registered owner.
