Fargo, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Franklin D. Stewart Jr. of Fargo has been arrested and charged with felony attempted robbery following an incident at Chubb’s Pub on July 10th.

At 10:52 a.m., officers were dispatched to the pub after an employee reported that Stewart had stolen a six-pack of Corona beer worth $7.99. The employee pursued Stewart, who was attempting to leave the store on his bicycle. The employee caught up with him and brought him to the ground, at which point Stewart became violent.

While still on the ground, Stewart struck the employee three times, twice in the head, before fleeing southbound on University Drive. Despite the assault, the employee was able to recover the stolen beer.

Stewart was later arrested and charged with felony attempted robbery and other related offenses.
