CASSELTON, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man, Craig Vinton, 32, is in custody following a string of vehicle thefts that spanned several counties in the region, leading to his arrest.
The incident began early Wednesday when the Sheriff’s Office and Casselton Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire. The vehicle involved had been reported stolen from Fargo. During the investigation, authorities discovered that another vehicle had been stolen from a nearby farmstead, which was later found in Ransom County, where yet another vehicle was reported stolen.
Later that evening, around 7:30 PM, Cass County Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in rural Davenport. Their investigation led to the arrest of Vinton at the scene.
Vinton is now being held in Cass County Jail on Class B and Class C Felony Theft of Motor Vehicle charges.
