FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Authorities have arrested Manuel Santos Herbert Perez Jr., 33, in connection with two home invasions that occurred on Tuesday, November 26. Perez Jr. is now in custody at Cass County Jail on robbery charges.
The Fargo Police Department responded to the first robbery report at 9:07 p.m. in the 700 block of 7th Avenue North. A second incident was reported shortly after at 9:14 p.m. in the 100 block of 6th Avenue North. Victims in both cases stated that a man entered their homes, displayed a firearm, and fled. No injuries were reported.
Through their investigation, police located Perez Jr. in a tent near the Red River by 2nd Street North and 4th Avenue North. Officers say Perez Jr. refused repeated commands to leave the tent, prompting the SWAT team’s involvement. He was taken into custody without incident at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27.
During the operation, an unrelated tent fire nearby was extinguished by officers. No injuries were reported in the fire.
The case remains under investigation.
