According to Fargo Police Lieutenant Cers, the preliminary investigation shows the juvenile driver was driving recklessly in a parking lot when the pickup rolled onto its side. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
All occupants were evaluated, and police confirmed that no injuries occurred during the rollover. Officers spoke with the juveniles at the scene while securing the area and assessing the vehicle for hazards.
Police say the case will be forwarded to juvenile court for review. Reckless driving charges are being referred against the juvenile driver. The names of minors involved in such cases are not released to the public.
Rollover crashes in parking areas often occur when vehicles lose traction during sudden turns or rapid acceleration. Police urge young drivers to avoid high-speed driving in enclosed spaces and to follow all traffic laws designed to protect inexperienced motorists.
