Records and time stamps

Investigators met with the owner on Jan. 15.

The owner gave paperwork that listed the missing money.

The owner also showed time stamps tied to the door and the work system.

Police say the time stamps show Wheeler came in when he was not scheduled.

Police say some visits happened when the bar was closed.

Interview and charge

During an interview, Wheeler told police he was dealing with mental issues.

He also admitted taking “a couple grand,” according to the report.

Prosecutors filed a felony theft charge after the interview.

Wheeler appeared in court on Jan. 16.

A judge set bond at $1,000, according to court reporting.
