Fargo, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) A late-night house fire in Fargo sent two residents to a hospital.
Fargo Fire crews were called at 10:55 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2026. The call came from 1342 15th Street South. The home is a single-family house.
What firefighters found
Crews arrived and saw heavy fire on the first floor. Fire officials said the first floor was fully involved. All residents were outside before crews arrived.
Two residents were taken to a local medical facility. They were treated for smoke inhalation. Fire officials did not release the residents’ names.
Four cats inside the home did not survive. Crews worked to put out the flames and stop the spread.

Extra crews called in
A second alarm was requested to bring more help. The fire caused major damage to the structure. Officials have not released a damage estimate.
Fargo Fire responded with five engines and one truck. Two battalion chiefs also responded. Crews were assisted by Sanford Ambulance, Fargo Police, and the Salvation Army.
The cause is still under investigation
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No other injuries were reported in the initial update. The scene was secured after crews cleared hotspots.
