Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) Firefighters put out a fire that damaged a garage at a south Fargo home Monday evening.
Fire call on Parkview Drive South
Crews were sent to 2805 Parkview Drive South just after 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19.
The Fargo Fire Department said the attached garage was on fire on arrival.
Residents had already left the house when firefighters reached the scene.
Fire officials said no one was hurt.
The home sits in South Fargo, near major travel routes and busy evening traffic.
Large response and support crews
The department called a second alarm to bring in more help.
Five engines, one truck, and two battalion chiefs responded, the department said.
Sanford Ambulance also responded to the scene.
The Salvation Army helped support crews and residents.
The Fargo Police Department assisted at the scene as well.
A drone unit was also used to help with scene support, officials said.
Firefighters contained the flames and put the fire out.
Crews worked to keep the fire from spreading beyond the garage.
The cause is still under investigation
Fire officials said the cause remains under investigation.
A damage estimate was not available Monday night.
Investigators will work to learn where the fire started.
They will also review any heat sources in the garage.
Updates may be shared by the department in the days ahead.
