Fargo Driver Seriously Injured in Early Morning Crash – Cass County

FARGO (trfnews.i234.me) – Authorities have released more details regarding an early Sunday morning crash in Fargo that initially appeared to be a medical call involving an unresponsive person inside a vehicle.

According to Fargo Police, the crash occurred at 1:44 a.m. Sunday in the 3600 block of 19th Avenue North. Officers were dispatched to the scene after reports of a single-vehicle collision. When they arrived, they found a vehicle that had struck the guard rail on the 19th Avenue North overpass above Interstate 29.

Police say the vehicle came to rest on the overpass roadway. The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported by Sanford Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The car sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Both the Fargo Fire Department and Sanford Ambulance assisted at the scene. Officials say the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no citations have been issued at this time.

Drivers are reminded to use caution on elevated roadways and overpasses, especially during the early morning hours when visibility and road conditions can vary.
