Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) – Fargo police have confirmed that two separate crashes on Sunday night were both caused by the same driver in a chaotic chain of events along 45th Street South.

Around 9:36 p.m., officers responded to the first crash at 11th Avenue South and 45th Street, where a vehicle had sideswiped another. Rather than stopping, the driver continued south on 45th Street and ran a red light at the 13th Avenue South intersection. That reckless move triggered a second crash involving three more vehicles.

One individual sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The driver, Victor Tonihka, 46, of Fargo, was identified and cited for:

  • Running a red light

  • Careless driving

  • Leaving the scene of an accident

Authorities continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding both incidents.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.
