Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — Two people were taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Fargo on Monday afternoon, March 30.

The crash happened at the intersection of 10th Street South and 10th Avenue South. Emergency crews were called at about 3:26 p.m.

Crash Happened at Fargo Intersection

Police said a westbound van entered the intersection and ran a stop sign. The van was driven by Suzanne Landreth, 22, of Fargo.

Investigators said Landreth’s van struck another van that was already in the intersection. The force of the crash caused heavy damage to both vehicles.

A city traffic sign was also damaged. A nearby tree was hit as well.

The driver of the second van was not hurt in the crash.

Two Taken to Hospital

Landreth and her passenger, Ryan Ritz, 48, of Fargo, were hurt in the crash. Authorities said their injuries appeared serious but were not believed to be life-threatening.

Both were taken to a hospital for more medical care and evaluation.

Citations Filed After Crash

Authorities said Landreth was cited after the crash. The listed violations included improper brakes, failing to obey a stop sign, no liability insurance, and driving without a license.

The crash remains a reminder about the risks at city intersections. Stop signs, working brakes, and insurance rules are meant to protect everyone on the road.

Readers can find more traffic safety information from the North Dakota Department of Transportation. Local government updates are also available through the City of Fargo.

No other names were released in connection with the second vehicle.
