Starting today through the end of the year, law enforcement officers will be on the lookout for impaired drivers. Mike Hanson, director of the Office of Traffic Safety says more than 300 law enforcement agencies across the entire state will be participating.
Hanson says officers will be looking for drivers who appear impaired, whether by alcohol or other substances. In addition to alcohol, abuse of prescription medications, antidepressants, opioids, THC edibles, sleep aids, over-the-counter drugs, and illegal drug use can also affect safe driving abilities.
Plan a safe and sober ride.
