The victim, identified as 26-year-old Colin Shoemaker of Oak Park, found himself in the midst of chaos as he sustained substantial injuries to his abdomen. The scene was a field where a group of individuals had gathered for recreational firearm activities, including the detonation of Tannerite—a substance often used for target practice due to its explosive properties.
