The incident occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. at 106 First Street Northeast. Fortunately, all residents were home at the time and managed to escape without injury.
The Lidgerwood Fire Department, with assistance from Hankinson Fire, Lidgerwood Ambulance, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, responded promptly to the emergency. Firefighters successfully contained the blaze to the garage, preventing it from spreading to the main residence. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
