Exploring the Grounds of WE Fest

so a lot of famous musicians have passed through here over the years absolutely you actually could say just I can’t think of any really this happened I know in fact Alan Jackson last night was commenting on all the various times he’s been here and how special the crowd is and you know I go to a lot of music performances and they don’t say that all the time so it really is truly a special crowd out here oh this is brand-new here and you’re a veteran of this festival this wee bar people can go inside give a drink and come out here and hang up I hang out on the balcony and you see all of our vendors are waking up and setting up they were taking care of people too late many things so they get a little later start so later they open I didn’t make it that way they are open until the end of Festival most of these and so you see classic place to get french fries which is Basin with us a very long time so they’re one of our cold and old oldies because everybody loves coming here and I do believe what say I was looking for a particular one and we’ve got a lot of new vendors this year actually I think the number I heard was 21 new vendors which is great it’s not that we lost and we added 21 and you start out at you be defending over here this is part of why do quite a few local Rangers do absolutely and that’s important to have a mix to support the regional economy and there’s fabulous stuff in the area as well but even beyond that to to additionally have really great great food great goods that we’re bringing in that are from around the country as well as region see how quick grill another one that has been a long time and fan favorite out here so we’re always delighted you may want to come back every year well everybody’s a cowboy when they’re here boy and I’ll tell you that’s how white hats are in full force here which is very cool and I think we may need to turn around this way they will go back the other way so it takes a lot of people to make this thing go and you know I don’t even know how many but I know I heard this morning that there’s at least 50 people on the production pruvit up for the main stage just that and when you add to that what it takes sanitation and maintaining vendors and feeding people out here who are employed here engine you know people in the parking lot people who are keeping the traffic going in and if you saw that they always the briefing that there are and I run this just like I was saying that I run into a lot of people who have attended the festival to the fan over the years I wanted to a lot of people here who they’ve worked the same gate for three years so they know everybody who comes and goes or it’s like well I started here and now I’m working here it really is something that people look for trigger you can work in here thanks guys you guys to have it down to a bit of us you guys have it down to a bit of a science I mean you’re handling a large number of people which means traffic restrooms everything yeah yeah but that is something that I think it’s important to note that we’re so appreciative that everyone is patient we know you know when you’re bringing people into a festival and traffic I mean any festival traffic is gonna take a little lost time so everyone’s bringing their patients with them they’re just excited to be here we of course have no incidents at all and like I said our products is great and looking forward to being here as you know was always felt awesome you know we’ve not great than theirs we’ve got all these amazing campsites they’re all a little different they all have their own personalities and but I think I got off track I was talking about the fact that it takes a while usually this is a non-stop planning event they’re already looking ahead to who will be booked for next year and I know that you know there are conference calls weekly about things like media class and that’s where you go this way and so if this is something it just doesn’t spring up over the summer it’s something that is planned on stuff but I mean I think everyone can tell because that’s why the festival all right from weeds best in the Detroit Lakes Minnesota I’m Neil Berg reporting for I used a TV
