we have an update now from Bemidji police regarding that Pursuit vehicle that went over in an embankment and down into Lake Bemidji on Saturday night this now from Bemidji police quote on Saturday 10 30 p.m an officer observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one-way Street the officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle for the violation the driver of the vehicle chose not to stop and continue to drive to the west and south of it however as the driver approached the intersection of 9th Street and Lake Boulevard he lost control of the vehicle and went through the handrail down a steep embankment and into Lake Bemidji the driver then flood the area on foot leaving behind three injured passengers a juvenile male and female from Cass Lake and an adult female from Le Sueur Minnesota with the assistance of the Bemidji fire department and Bemidji Ambulance Service the passengers were treated for injuries and transfer order to the Sanford Medical Center while searching the vehicle Bemidji officers located open alcohol containers marijuana and meth through investigation officers learned the driver was a 16 year old male from Cass Lake that juvenile juvenile was located November 27th and taken into custody I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
