we’ve had a bizarre twist in our exclusive report on monday that a fedex truck had been shot at north of bemidji here’s part of our story from monday a fedex driver reported his truck had been shot at filter media jimmy won our cars couldn’t appeal three pl three from 71 eastbound on mobile east mobile lake road according to my colleagues to the deputies went by somebody had shot at his truck he’s in a fedex truck fedex truck is a victim that was our report from monday now according to court documents filed in beltrami county district court on monday may 17th at 11 25 a.m deputies responded to highway 71 and mobile lake road 13 members of local law enforcement became involved in the investigation deputies met with a driver who they reported was visibly shaken in court documents the truck is described as a white box truck with bullet holes in the driver’s door and drivers and passenger side windows were broken out the driver took deputies to the intersection of winter sumac road and sumac road the driver reported a white buick lesabre pulled up near him and fired a handgun nearby residents stated they heard gunfire this is when the investigation takes a twist and points at the driver investigators determined the drive the truck had cameras installed in it investigators played the memory card and observed the driver kevin banner stopping the truck at the intersection of winter sumac and sumac road opening the door and exiting four gunshots are heard and banner re-enters the truck with a black pistol in his hand banner begins driving then stops exclaiming f i forgot the cartridges banner then drives to his residence exit with the black pistol and returns without it then he drives north on highway 71 to mobile road calling 911 on the way where he waits for law enforcement investigators also found a 38 caliber pistol in his home so kevin banner of bemidji has now been charged with felony first-degree damage to property gross misdemeanor possession of ammo and firearms and misdemeanor falsely reporting a crime i’m neal carlson reporting for eye news dot tv
