Neil Berg here with another update on this apartment fire in argyle Minnesota at 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening Argyle is 30 miles northeast of Grand Forks North Dakota or about 40 miles north of Crookston on highway 75 we have the as you can see now this apartment Pacific Avenue apartments will zoom in here a bit flames now shooting from the windows of the apartment looks like they lost it there’s an aerial truck you can see spraying on the fire there but this apartment is a complete loss I was able to one quick question I believe it was the fire chief who said he thinks everyone is out of the apartment but the biggest concern here right now is the temperature it is 17 degrees below zero here in Argyle and a bit earlier they called for everyone in Argyle to stop any water use they’re having a hard time getting enough water to fight this fire I saw several truck trucks taker trucks coming into town going south back to Warren to hollow in more water for this fire hang with me here so as you can see there’s a community center over to the right out of this frame on the other side of the tracks where firefighters were warming up and coffee and so on and so forth but severe cold they have to battle this blaze in again I don’t think firefighters know for sure but the initial report was there were a lot of people standing outside the building I believe this calls came in somewhere around 4:45 this afternoon on the Saturday afternoon as you can see now fire is spreading throughout the entire building here apparently getting enough water now you can see the aerial truck there it’s still spraying water but fire is overtaking the entire building here and again at this point fire fighters haven’t been able to go through this building yet but the the initial word is that everyone got out safely but this building is going to be a total loss in argyll Minnesota I’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
