Escaping and Facing Drug Charges in Jamestown, ND on Wednesday Morning

JAMESTOWN, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Montpelier, North Dakota man is facing multiple charges after fleeing a traffic stop.
listen from jamestown police today at 9 47 a.m a jameson police officer attempted to stop a 1999 dodge durango on the 700 block of 10th street southeast the opposite officer was stopping the vehicle to investigate suspected drug activity the vehicle failed to stop and flood for several blocks going through streets and alleys in southeast jamestown roadway conditions were icy and compacted snow and snow drifts officers briefly lost visual contact to the vehicle during that time the driver parked the vehicle and fled on foot at approximately 9 53 a.m officers located the male suspect walking near the intersection of 13th street southeast and gardenette drive he was taken into custody the vehicle was later located the male suspect was identified as 45 year old jimmy dale cox of montpelier a search of his person located the substance presumed to be approximately 3.5 ounces of meth approximately one thousand dollars in cash and other seized evidence cox was arrested on suspicion of the following charges fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer in a motor vehicle aggravated reckless endangerment possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver meth possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver marijuana possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of meth paraphernalia i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
