CANDO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – This Friday morning, the old Barley House grain elevator in Cando, North Dakota, was demolished. Built in the early 1950s, the structure had served the community for decades but had fallen into disrepair and was deemed beyond saving. Like many grain elevators across North Dakota, it had become obsolete as farming practices and storage needs evolved. The demolition marks the end of a piece of Cando’s agricultural history, closing a chapter that began over 70 years ago.
