Garden City Township, Blue Earth County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Monday, May 26, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 169 and 173rd Street in Garden City Township. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2008 Volvo S60 driven by 71-year-old Sheila Kay Supalla of Fairmont, MN, was traveling southbound on Highway 169 when it collided with a 2016 Subaru Forester attempting to turn onto the MN Highway 60 detour.
Supalla sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato for treatment. The driver of the Subaru, 24-year-old Rebekah Marsden Gray of Lukachukai, AZ, and her passenger, 22-year-old Emma Elisabeth Hansen of Worthington, MN, were uninjured.
Both vehicles had airbags deployed, and all occupants were wearing seat belts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.
Emergency response was provided by the Lake Crystal Fire Department and Ambulance, along with the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office.
