Olmsted County (trfnews.i234.me) — On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at approximately 3:38 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 63 and 18th Avenue Northwest in Oronoco Township, Olmsted County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, an 87-year-old Rochester man driving a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling northbound on 18th Avenue Northwest when his vehicle collided with a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 19-year-old Rochester woman, heading eastbound on Highway 63.
The elderly driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. His 85-year-old wife, who was a passenger in the Equinox, was uninjured. The driver of the Silverado was also uninjured. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Road conditions were dry at the time of the incident. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
