HACKENSACK, MN (trfnews.i234.me) We have an update regarding an elderly driver, who hit 4 pedestrians in a tent at a wood carving festival in Hackensack, Minnesota on Saturday.

  1. I feel bad for the guy, he tried to stop it. And prayers for the seriously injured person.

    Age is a factor, though . I wonder what the statistics are regarding age-related vehicle accidents.
    Extra testing and, if needed, restrictions, should be common sense.

    Also, family members aren't always heeded by the elderly driver. So a mandatory assessment of all elderly drivers would help.

  2. I couldn’t find much more info on this. Some articles are saying the older man’s vehicle wasn’t in park and “it was a run away vehicle” that rolled into the group of four. But I don’t think that’s true because it’s a flat area, and the parking doesn’t really line up with the intersection where this happed. I still hope that everyone is okay.
