Coon Creek Township, Lyon County (trfnews.i234.me) – Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at 12:09 p.m. on July 6, 2025, at the intersection of MN Highway 23 and MN Highway 91.
According to the report, a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 73-year-old Margie F. Dwire of Mountain Lake, was southbound on 170th Street. Simultaneously, a 2006 Honda Accord, driven by 39-year-old Craig Allen Jacobson of Hanley Falls, was traveling northbound on Highway 23 when the two vehicles collided.
Dwire suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Marshall ER. Her vehicle’s airbags did not deploy.
Jacobson and his passenger, 59-year-old Dennis Chester Marshall, also of Hanley Falls, reported non-life-threatening injuries but were not taken to a hospital. Their vehicle’s airbags deployed, and all parties wore seat belts.
Roads were dry, and alcohol was not involved. Responding agencies included the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Russell Fire and Ambulance, and North Ambulance.
