Kugler Township, St. Louis County (trfnews.i234.me) – On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at approximately 12:39 p.m., an 86-year-old man from Embarrass, Minnesota, was injured in a collision on Highway 135 at Wiseman Road in Kugler Township, St. Louis County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2020 Toyota Corolla, driven by Thorsten Jerome Sabie, was traveling southbound on Highway 135 when it collided with a 2004 Western Star Conventional truck equipped with a gooseneck trailer. The truck, operated by 52-year-old Chad Michael Ehalt of Aurora, Minnesota, was backing onto Wiseman Road at the time of the incident. Sabie sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Hospital in Virginia for treatment. Ehalt was uninjured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Road conditions were dry at the time.
Emergency response teams from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Tower Fire Department, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and Armory Shell assisted at the scene.
