Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — Firefighters were on the scene of a major apartment building fire in Fargo early Thursday morning.

The blaze broke out around 2:00 a.m. at 1521 27th Avenue South, known as Autumn Chase Apartments. According to the Fargo Fire Department, flames were visible when crews arrived, with fire spreading through the second and third floors and extending into the roof.

Battalion Chief Lee So said firefighters quickly pulled hoses and worked to contain the blaze, bringing it under control by about 3:30 a.m. Despite significant smoke and fire damage, no injuries were reported.

“The fire was mostly isolated on the west end of the building,” So said. “But there’s smoke throughout the entire structure.”

Power was shut off to the complex, and officials say it’s unclear when residents will be allowed back inside. The building sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, and assessments are underway to determine the extent of the destruction.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fargo Fire officials and the property management team are working together to evaluate the building’s safety and next steps for displaced residents.
