Eagle Chick Perishes as 2,000-Pound Nest Collapses

MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) An eagle chick died after the 2,000 lb. Eaglecam nest followed by the DNR fell Sunday morning.
the Minnesota DNR morning loss of a chick that died when the eagle cam fell out of its tree Sunday morning Wildlife program leader Lorraine nauman says they’ve feared for years that the tree was not going to hold the nest forever and so that’s what happened nowman suspects the recent heavy snow was likely the straw that broke the camel’s back the nest first found in 2003 weighed about 2 000 pounds and the branch it was on broke off the tree and plummeted 100 feet to the ground nowman says the adult Eagles were flying around the area afterwards and might re-nest in the same tree but it’s very unlikely the female would lay more eggs this season
