Eagan, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A trusted federal law enforcement officer is at the center of a disturbing criminal case involving the production of child sexual abuse material.

Timothy Ryan Gregg, 51, a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations and an FBI Task Force Officer, has been federally charged with producing child pornography after a minor’s father found graphic videos on the child’s phone. The content showed explicit acts involving the child and an adult, later confirmed to be Gregg.

Authorities say Gregg coerced the child into creating the material, which was intended for production and distribution. Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson emphasized Gregg’s abuse of public trust, calling it inexcusable.

Gregg was arrested and appeared in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis, where he was ordered held without bond.

This is the second recent case of a Minnesota law enforcement officer facing federal child pornography charges. In May, State Trooper Jeremy Francis Plonski was indicted on similar charges involving an infant.

Federal and local authorities vow accountability for those in power who exploit children.
