Pennington County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Middle River man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving under the influence with a child in the car, illegal cannabis products, and texting while behind the wheel in Thief River Falls.
Officer Tureson observed a man on his cell phone while driving and pulled over Michael Darren Seaverson, 30, near Main Avenue and Backe Street. Seaverson had visible tremors, admitted to recent marijuana use, and had a child under 16 in the vehicle.
Field sobriety tests showed signs of impairment, and a search of the vehicle revealed THC wax, marijuana, and a Narcan kit. Seaverson also has two prior DWI convictions in the last ten years.
He now faces charges of:
-
2nd Degree DWI (Gross Misdemeanor)
-
Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle (Petty Misdemeanor)
-
Using a Wireless Device While Driving (Petty Misdemeanor)
A blood test was ordered, and Seaverson was taken into custody.
