Duluth Crash: Ford F150 Spins Out and Strikes Nissan Xterra

Duluth (trfnews.i234.me) – A collision occurred on December 12, 2025, at 11:03 AM, on southbound Interstate 35 at Central Avenue in Duluth, St. Louis County. A 2004 Ford F150, driven by 78-year-old Katherine Marie Stangle of Palisade, MN, was traveling in the left lane when it lost control and hit the concrete barrier. The F150 then spun across the southbound lanes, where it was struck in the right lane by a 2009 Nissan Xterra, driven by 19-year-old Garon James Sutherland of Cambridge, MN. Both vehicles came to a stop following the crash.

Stangle, the driver of the Ford F150, was wearing her seat belt and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to St. Luke Hospital for treatment. Sutherland, the driver of the Nissan Xterra, was also wearing his seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.

The road conditions at the time were snow-covered and icy, which contributed to the loss of control. Mayo Clinic Ambulance responded to the scene to assist.
