North Dakota Man Faces Multiple Felony Charges After Drug-Fueled Crash

PEMBINA COUNTY, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a shocking turn of events, Trey A. Lafferty from Cavalier, North Dakota, has been charged with drug trafficking and several additional felonies following a late-night crash on August 25th. At approximately 10:03 p.m., Lafferty’s Kia collided with the back of a grain cart being towed by a tractor on Highway 66 west of Drayton. Thankfully, the tractor driver was unharmed.

Lafferty, who claimed to have fallen asleep while his car was on autopilot, failed a field sobriety test when officers arrived at the scene. A subsequent search revealed a disturbing array of illegal substances and cash. Lafferty was found in possession of M30 fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, and $1,594 in cash, with additional meth hidden in his underwear.

Facing a slew of charges, including possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, attempted delivery or possession in a correctional facility, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of meth.
