VELVA, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A tractor driver was injured when the bridge he was driving over collapsed near Velva, North Dakota Friday evening.
a 41 year old chris walker of minot north dakota was injured when the tractor pulling equipment collapsed this bridge seven miles northwest of velva at uh six o’clock friday evening the patrol says the tractor was traveling northbound and uh came upon this bridge over the mouse river the bridge was restricted to nine ton uh axle and 21 tons gross vehicle weight while attempting to cross the bridge the decking gave out and collapsed uh the driver walker was transported to minot trinity hospital for treatment of possible injuries the bridge will be out of service for the near future the patrol says the crash remains under investigation i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
