Clay County (trfnews.i234.me) was the site of a suspected alcohol-related crash Saturday night when a Volkswagen Jetta veered off the road, crossed Highway 75, and rolled into a ditch.
The accident occurred at 8:54 PM on March 8, 2025, at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 75 and 57th Avenue North in Oakport Township.
Crash Details & Emergency Response
Authorities reported that a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling westbound on 57th Avenue North when it crossed over Highway 75, entered the southbound ditch, and rolled.
Emergency responders, including Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Essentia EMS, arrived at the scene.
Driver Injured & Alcohol Confirmed
- Curtis John Misialek (45) of Fargo, ND, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Hospital for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that: The driver was wearing a seatbelt
Airbags deployed
No other vehicles were involved
Alcohol was a factor in the crash
