Dover Township (trfnews.i234.me) – On December 12, 2025, at 6:25 AM, a crash occurred on westbound I-90 near Milepost 228 in Dover Township, Olmsted County. A 2017 Honda CR-V, driven by 37-year-old Colin Andrew Sayles of St. Charles, MN, struck a deer while traveling westbound. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which then collided with a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer, also westbound on I-90.
Sayles, who was wearing his seat belt, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Rochester for treatment. The driver of the Freightliner, 55-year-old Christian Michael Brow of Camp Douglas, WI, was also wearing his seat belt and was uninjured.

The road conditions at the time were dry, and the crash occurred after the deer strike. Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Dover Fire Department, Eyota Ambulance, and MNDOT responded to the scene.
