Donald “Don” H. Larson age 80 passed away on November 25, 2023 in Mesa, AZ.
Donald “Don” Harmon Larson was born on June 16, 1943 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Julian and Alice (Anderson) Larson. Don grew up in Thompson, ND and graduated from Crookston AC. He farmed for Bunde farms in Thompson, ND. He joined the National Guard. On October 21, 1967 he was united in marriage to Susan Karel at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND. He worked as a carpet installer for Goodmans. In 1984 he started and operated Don’s Carpet Installation in Grand Forks, ND retiring in 2004. They moved to Arizona and wintered there since 2010.
Family members who survive Don include his wife of 56 years, Susan Larson of Grand Forks, ND; children, Bryan Larson of Henderson, NV and Jolene (Rod) Oviatt of Bovey, MN; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Larson, Rylee Oviatt, Emmalee Oviatt, Jacob Larson and Ashley Larson; brother, Ken Larson of Bellflower, CA and sister, Joanne (Bob) Karel of Thompson, ND. Preceded in death by his sister, Judy Kennedy.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Hospice of the donors choice.
