The lawsuit, filed Thursday in New York, is supported by 30 state and district attorneys general. It seeks to dismantle the monopoly that is said to be squeezing out smaller promoters and hurting artists. The Justice Department accuses Live Nation of a range of practices that allegedly allow it to maintain a stronghold over the live music scene. Live Nation denies engaging in practices that violate antitrust laws.
