Dodge Caravan Crashes Into Ditch on Hwy 14 in Brown County – Two Women Injured, No Seatbelts Worn

MILFORD TWP, BROWN COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A single-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 14 and County Road 11 in Milford Township when a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan veered off the roadway and into a ditch, injuring two of its occupants.

The crash happened at 10:08 AM on April 19, 2025, with dry road conditions.

  • The driver, Kathy Ann Bailey, 72, of Northwood, IA, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sleepy Eye ER.

  • Passenger Esther J. Bontuager, 64, also from Northwood, was injured and taken to the same facility.

  • Passenger Joni Bontuager, 63, was uninjured.

Critically, none of the vehicle’s occupants were wearing seatbelts. Airbags deployed, and alcohol was not involved.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Sleepy Eye Police Department responded to the scene.
