It isn't illegal to harvest one though, it's only a request. These bears aren't tame, just tracked.
I'm surprised with the amount of bears in the area, I've yet to have one go after my chickens or goats. Just sick of them flipping my dumpster and dragging bags of garbage into the woods
Waste of taxpayer money. They are not even close to endangered.
